Dr. Cem Gazioğlu has been working as a Geomatic engineer since more than 25 years. He has a MSc. of Geomatic Engineering from the Technical University of Istanbul (ITU) and Ph.D. of Department of Marine Environment, Coastal Engineering Division from the Istanbul University (IU). He has been involved in the Remote Sensing and GIS application of Marine Environment, climate change and Integrated Coastal Zone Management. As an academician, he has conducted several MSc. and Ph.D. thesis at Istanbul University/Institute of Marine Sciences and Management (IU/IMSM). He is the chief editor of the International Journal of Environment and Geoinformatics (IJEGEO), which has been on the published since 2014. He is currently the director of the Istanbul University-Institute of Marine Sciences and Management.
